Slow Cooker Beef Stew


  • 2 lbs beef chuck – cubed
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1-1/2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic – minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Carrot – sliced
  • Onion – chopped
  • Celery – sliced
  • Potatoes – rough chop

Chop up your veggies, cube your beef, add your seasonings, set your slow cooker on high and wait 5 hours for your hearty stew to – well – stew… That’s the great thing about slow cookers – you have very little chance of messing it up. Are your veggie cuts uneven and sloppy? Who cares! It’s all going to taste good in the end. Is your seasoning mix off? Doesn’t matter – you literally have hours to fix it. Let your slow cooker make you look good and take the night off – you probably deserve it. Or maybe you don’t, who gives a shit – everyone’s gotta eat.


Beef stew typically isn’t the dish you see splattered all over “the gram” in a fancy bowl held by bedazzled wrists. Not everything has to be picture perfect – but damnit it better taste good.



  1. Cut your beef into cubes and add to your slow cooker.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredient list and stir.
  3. Set your slow cooker on High and fuck off for 5 hours.
  4. Eat.
